Life Log

Yeah, yeah..the name sucks but that's okay for now.

General Idea

I mobile app ( remote backend too) that is brain-dead easy, simple, and quick to use that allows you to log what's going on in your life. Focus on things that are quick to capture and give possible insight to your WellBeing. The key metric is the CurrentStateVote capturing your StateOfBeing. Additionally, you will log as much other details as you want. Obviously the more you log the information we have to sift through. After doing this for awhile, we attempt to draw conclusion about what is causing your StateOfBeing to change.

Some Points About Logging

The most important thing here is that capture items will be your perception of the metric. Take for example, the weather. Have you ever thought it was a beautiful day but heard someone else complain about it. What can we learn if we compare weather data with your perception of the weather. Over time, are you consistently happy with one type of weather? Doubtful. But why? Since we will have other at-the-moment details about you, we can start to learn why.

Here are some random ideas about what we might capture

  • CurrentStateVote.
  • WeatherVote.
  • What you ate last and when?
  • Who you talked to last?
  • Have you exercised (yet) today?
  • Any arguments with friends, family, foe? if so, who?

...and so on. You get the idea at least

Why do this

I am personally curious to learn how my outlook changes, and why. Might also be interesting to look for patterns in groups of people doing this that interact. How is my mood related to those around me? Can we finally prove the statement "man, you're bring me down" with our data?

Uses

Other than personally? Why not make this information available to your doctor, therapist, personal trainer, life coach, and possibly even family and friends. Would it help these people help you?

Would mental health professionals be interested in this technology? Let's ask some?
